I have submitted a text, but the word count seems wrong. How do I get a quote then?
You can get a free instant quote for plain text or files with the following filename extensions: txt, rtf, doc, pdf. If you have a file with a different extension (for example docx) or scanned pdf files, you can send them to our e-mail and get a free quote within 24 hours.
How do you rate Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew translations?
Pricing per word per language when translating from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew is based upon the total target word count. Pricing for all other languages is based upon the total source word count.

What is your rush translation project turnaround time?
The turnaround times vary depending on the languages, the subject and the complexity of the project, and are negotiated for each project.
Do you apply a rush charge?
We apply rush charge from 30 to 100% on projects
that require overtime working of our employees (for
instance, translating over 2000 words a day). No
rush charge is applied to real time human translations.
Why are your prices for translation into Russian
so competitive?

How do you assure quality?
Quality assurance starts with careful multistage
selection of translations and editors, which includes
resume analysis, deep initial testing and continuous
assessment during their work for the company. All
translations are compulsorily proofread (except
for real time human translations), top quality projects
include editing. Moreover, in complicated technical
projects we involve highly-qualified consultants
in the corresponding area (for example, telecommunications,
IT, electronics, oil and gas, medicine, etc.). After
editing a translated text, the editor submits a
form with an assessment of the translation, and
all such assessments are stored in a database. In
addition to this, the editor-in-chief checks selected
fragments of already edited text.
All large translation projects are subject to a three-stage QA procedure to ensure consistency in usage and style when using multiple translators:
- Glossary. In the early stage of a project
the editor-in-chief makes a project glossary.
This list of words and word combinations is used
for coordinating translators’ work. Approved by
a client, the glossary becomes mandatory for use
by the translators.
- Translation Memory exchange. A team exchanges
translations in TMX format on a daily basis, or
works directly with the TM base on a server. That
means if two translators have identical phrases
in their respective parts of the project, and
one of them translates a phrase, the other will
use this translation in his/her part of the text.
Working this way, we avoid translating the same
phrases differently.
- Editing and proofreading. After the translation
is done, a qualified editor works on the text,
ensuring that the translation is of high quality
and the terminology is consistent (editing is
included in Top Quality projects only). Finally,
a proofreader checks spelling, grammar and consistency
of style.

What CAT and localization tools do your translators use?
Trados 7.0, Déjà vu X, Sisulizer 1.5 (very similar to Multilizer localization tool). We hold CAT tools training for our translators on a regular basis (2-3 trainings annually).

Real time human translation and orders online
I have submitted a text for translation, but the word count seems wrong. How do I know the cost of translation then?
The word count is given and a bill is formed only for plain text or files with the following filename extensions: txt, rtf, doc, pdf. If you have a file with a different extension (for example docx) you may simply copy the text and paste it in the text field here. If your files are scans or photos (pdf, jpg, tiff, gif, bmp, etc.) and you cannot copy the text, you can send them to our e-mail and get a free quote.
I have a large file (files) bigger than 10MB. I can neither submit it, nor send it by e-mail. How can I send it to you to have it translated?
Try archiving your file(s) or deleting large images
in it. If it is not possible or this does not help,
please contact us
indicating the size of your file and we shall give
you details for passing the file to us via ftp.
I have submitted a text. When will you start translating it?
We will start translating the text as soon as you pay for your order. You can read more about payment options here.
How do I pay for my order?

be redirected to a page showing payment options.

Notarization
Can you notarize a translation?
Not all translations can be notarized. In order
to learn whether your documents can be notarized,
please send them scanned to our e-mail
and if they can, your manager will give you details
for posting or handing us your documents.

Proofreading
I have a text/a translation, but I am not sure whether it requires any editing or proofreading. Can you estimate it?
It depends on the quality of translation. A poor translation cannot be edited – it is much easier to have the text translated again. Some translations may require editing or proofreading, some translations may be perfect as they are. So, send us your translation (with the original text if possible) to estimate, what kind of work it needs. Our recommendation and quote are free.
