November 2007 – Rulex Language Services became a member of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce. The Russo-British Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee that has worked to promote trade and cooperation between the UK and Russia since 1916, helping companies in both countries to find trading partners and representing the interests of its more than 600 member companies of all sizes. Our managers regularly visit conferences and seminars organized by the Chamber and such member-companies as Baker& McKenzie, KPMG, Deloitte, etc. This allows us be informed on the latest events on the spheres of law, insurance, banking, etc. Providing languages services Rulex attempts to help understanding between business cultures speaking different languages.

September 2007 – The Moscow exhibition center hosted a Russian International Business Aviation exhibition, JET EXPO 2007, with 133 participants from 18 countries. Starflight Aviation was one of the key participants of the event. The company organizes business flights of music and film stars, diplomats, and many football teams. Starflight Aviation chose interpreters from Perevedem.ru (the Russian company name for Rulex Language Services) to help them answer the questions of the JET EXPO visitors. The company’s officials judged the interpreting excellent and invited us to provide linguistic services for them in future projects.

June 2007 – our company won the bid of NordStream AG and has signed a contract involving translating technical and marketing documents from/into Russian and German using Translation Memory technology. NordStream AG was founded in 2005 to design, construct, and implement an aquatic natural gas pipeline from Vyborg (Russia) to Greifswald (Germany). NordStream is more than just a pipeline. It is a brand new venue for Russian natural gas export and a large infrastructure project opening new avenues of opportunity and cooperation between Russia and the EU.

March 2007 – Festival of Chinese Culture , a key event of the Year of China in Russia, opened to the public. The Festival program includes a series of musical, theatre, circus, dance, and martial arts performances as well as exhibitions of arts and crafts in 30 Russian cities with participation of over 500 artists and cultural workers from Russia and China throughout 2007. Interpreters of Perevedem.ru (the Russian company name for Rulex Language Services), official linguistic services provider of the Festival accompanied every delegation in every city and worked day and night at rehearsals, equipment installations, performances, guided tours, etc. The organizers of the Year of China in Russia expressed their deep gratitude to our company for highest professionalism and unstinting effort.

December 2006 – the international ABBYY Software House company, a global leader in software development in applied linguistics, became the official partner of our company. Although Perevedem.ru (the Russian company name for Rulex Language Services) remains independent, it has gained access to all the resources of ABBYY (hundreds of software engineers, linguists, and editors), and the potential to successfully implement highly complicated projects.
